MINN FELLOWSHIP 2025-2026 OVERVIEW

The MINN Fellowship follows a model consisting of three main components: monthly meetings, a "Big Challenge" project, and mentorship. The overall goal is to challenge fellows on five specific goals each month: fostering diverse viewpoints, professional enrichment, networking, relationship building, and elevating voices/sharing the microphones.

MONTHLY MEETINGS AND WORKSHOPS

Fellows meet in person each month to reflect, exchange ideas, and participate in a series of

leadership workshops. These workshops focus on core competencies necessary for effective leadership, including:

  • Ethics - Ethical Grounding and Cultural Competence

  • Management - Resilience, Adaptability and Project Management

  • Funding - Fundraising and Resource Mobilization

  • Communication - Diplomacy and Negotiation

  • Data - Monitoring, Evaluation, and Reporting

  • Strategy - Strategic Thinking, Presentation Skills, and Vision

THE "BIG CHALLENGE" PROJECT

Each fellow takes on a Big Challenge, a self-directed project, tackling a real-world issue they care about. It’s a chance to transform passion into action, experiment with solutions, and drive change. Fellows receive up to $200 to support professional development and project expenses. The experience concludes with “Big Challenge” presentations at the graduation event.

MENTORSHIP AND NETWORKING

Fellows are paired with mentors who provide career guidance, feedback, and encouragement through regular check-ins. The program also emphasizes networking, learning from diverse perspectives, and building long-lasting relationships.

BENEFITS

Participants gain significant benefits, including:

  • Networking and mentorship

  • Learning from diverse perspectives.

  • The chance to pursue a meaningful project through the "Big Challenge”.
