Tyrie Williams is the founder and Executive Director of Love From America (LFA), a Minnesota-based nonprofit reimagining global development by engaging youth and communities through place-based learning to address system-level inequities. Rooted in his background in global history and culture through the arts, Tyrie’s academic and leadership journey shaped his vision for building pathways that connect learning with lived experience. Through Love From America’s leadership of the Global Scholars program, he is creating an academic pathway to global careers where youth learn from communities addressing systemic injustices directly—recognizing and amplifying the brilliance already present within each community. Under Tyrie’s leadership, LFA bridges schools, local partners, and global communities to co-create opportunities where education, equity, and cultural understanding intersect. These partnerships strengthen youth leadership, community ownership, and long-term sustainability. Previously, Tyrie served as Executive Director of Minnesota Ultimate, leading strategic growth and donor engagement, and as a district educator advancing culturally responsive learning. He holds degrees in Music Education and Vocal Performance from North Dakota State University.
