Panel, Q&A session + Networking Hour
Join us on June 13 at WeWork to learn more about the ongoing work of some of our past MINN Fellows! MINN Fellows are dedicated to international development and doing global good better. We are excited to hear about Fellows' work prior to and since last year's Summit, and their takes on recent trends and changes in international development as we gather as a community at WeWork on this special occasion.
The panel and Q&A session will be followed by a social networking hour. Refreshments will be served.
Interested in working in international development? Development is a broad sector encompassing a huge range of organizations and roles. Whether you are a recent graduate or are considering a transition, successful applicants need to know what they want and what they can offer, be proactive, determined and flexible. In this workshop, Britta Hansen will provide an overview of the development sector, share highlights from the 2018 Devex hiring trends report, share tips on nailing a memorable pitch, and provide general keys to decipher those head-scratching job descriptions.
Join MINN members and prospective members for a beverage and networking! Thursday nights at Headflyer Brewing are student nights- bring your college ID for $2 off a pint of beer! This event is targeted to current graduate students, recent grads, and those who are about to graduate! Network with peers as well as representatives from MINN organizational members who may be looking for interns or have open positions.
Join MINN for a Talk and Tour of the Aqui Para Ti Program at Whittier Clinic in Minneapolis to get an in-depth look at the organization in a small group setting. The agenda includes an overview of the organization by Dr. Maria Veronica Svetaz and Ursula Reynoso, and a private tour of their office. This Talk and Tour event is an opportunity for MINN members to gain first-hand knowledge of the workings of innovative community and international health organizations in the state.
