What a day! Over 250 people attended MINN's inaugural full-day conference - the International Development Education and Action (IDEA) Summit - on October 25, 2013. Nancy Lindborg from USAID served as an inspiring keynote, and thirteen sessions, including the concluding plenary panel, were attended at full capacity. The IDEA Marketplace was lively with over twenty exhibitors and vendors. In fact the Marketplace, which was sold-out, stayed open past its assigned hours because of participants' interest in connecting. The Summit was a high-water mark for the international community in Minnesota. The Summit served as the largest gathering, ever, of international practitioners, funders, NGOs, academia and other supporters for international humanitarian work in the state of Minnesota. Results are in from the Summit's final survey and nearly 90% of respondents plan to attend next year, so make sure to register early for the MINN IDEA Summit for 2014!
