Dear MINN Friends and Members,

At the Minnesota International NGO Network (MINN), we are committed to the goal of bringing together Minnesota's international NGO practitioners to connect, share ideas, and learn from one another's expertise. Whether in a personal or virtual setting, MINN seeks to continue providing the information, connections, and programming that you rely upon to do global good better. As we learned only too well in 2021, the difficulties presented by the pandemic are still far from over.

Despite the challenges of the previous year, MINN and its amazing team of volunteers, Board members, Fellows, and members helped drive us toward another successful year. We transitioned to a hybrid model of both virtual and in-person events. This included continuing our Solutions Spotlight series, a fantastic event featuring Women in International Development, and our first ever hybrid virtual and in-person annual Summit! We also rolled out MINN’s premier membership level known as the MINNer Circle, which provides exclusive access to content and events for our top members. Finally, we published our long-awaited 2020 Global Report which features an in-depth look at the state of Minnesota’s international development work. The continued dedication and versatility of our volunteers ensures that we are ready to tackle whatever challenges and opportunities await us for 2022.

For this year, we will look to expand our programs to meet the needs of both our newest young professionals as well as Minnesota’s seasoned international development practitioners. We are planning to revive our Executive Roundtable series which will focus on high-level discussions about critical issues and practices in international development administration. In addition, MINN will strive of offer more of the networking and professional development events that bring us all together. We will also be partnering with other international NGOs to host joint events, so drop us a line if your organization wants to take part in this exciting new venture.

As always, a primary focus of MINN for 2022 will be our efforts to promote antiracism and our Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion initiatives. Like many international NGOs, MINN's demographic makeup does not always accurately reflect the communities which we serve. We intend to continue the conversation around discrimination and decolonizing international development throughout the year and welcome feedback from other organizations.

Through it all, we encourage you to continue staying connected with MINN. If you haven't already, sign up to receive our biweekly newsletter and follow us on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn. To deepen your engagement, consider becoming a MINN member or donor today. Thank you all for your amazing support and encouragement through such an unusual year. Here's to a great 2022!
