In Case You Missed It: MINN at the Movies
Minneapolis, May 19, 2011 - As part of its Sustainable Film Series, MINN members attended the screening of the documentary “Beetle Queen Conquers Tokyo” at the University of Minnesota on Thursday May 19th. The film explores Japanese fascination and interaction with insects – from butterflies to rhino beetles. The CityPages’ Eric Hines stated “Equal parts playful and ponderous, the film looks upon humanity through a bug's life and vice versa, marshaling the forces of history, poetry, philosophy, religion, and pop culture to assert how "insects represent the entire history of a culture." Afterwards, MINN members congregated at the Kitty Kat Club in Dinkytown for drinks, discussion and debate.
Join MINN for its next event – a happy hour on June 23, 2011 at Sushi Tango in Uptown in Minneapolis from 5:30 - 8:00 pm.
