Call for Workshops: Nobel Peace Prize Forum

The 24th annual Nobel Peace Prize Forum will take place in Minneapolis on March 1-4, 2012. The Nobel Peace Prize Forum is a unique civic learning experience that brings Nobel Laureates, civic leaders, and scholars together with students and other citizens.

The 2012 theme is "The Price of Peace." More event information will be available over the next few months, but a number of dynamic speakers have already committed to speaking, including, F.W. de Klerk, former President of South Africa, Nobel Peace Prize Laureate and Sakumzi (“Saki”) Macozoma, business leader and former Member of the South African Parliament.

Robust workshops have long been a hallmark of the Nobel Peace Prize Forum. At this time the conference is inviting proposals for the all-important workshops that support the theme  of “The Price of Peace” and that expand the discussion of the keynote speakers.

The Request for Proposals (RFP) Workshop application is attached below.  The Conference will be accepting workshop proposals until December 15, 2011.  This is a great way to gain visibility for your organization’s work and perhaps gain the eye of a Nobel Peace Prize Laureate!  This will be the 24th year for the forum which draws thousands of participants each year.
