This Women’s Food Security In International Development program takes place in St. Cloud.
Women are key to international development. Empowering women through health care, education, and finance results in better lives for themselves, their families, and communities. But what happens when people are unable to provide basic nutrition for their families? Women, in particular, are prevented from performing the economic and social activities that would otherwise lift their families from poverty, causing further dependence rather than self-sufficiency and prosperity.
Join us for a discussion on global health with special guest speakers, including Britt Cecconi Cruz from Health Partners International. The conversation will be be semi-structured with a few overarching questions, however, most of the evening will be directed by audience interests.
This presentation will discuss common challenges that organizations face in meeting federal grant requirements — and what your grant compliance program needs to include to address them. Together, we’ll cover internal controls over compliance, procurement requirements, sub-recipient monitoring requirements, required policies and procedures, and some best practices for grant management. More details and registration.
