Transforming the World's Response to Conflict

Join Nonviolent Peaceforce (NP) to learn how they has been easing tensions in the Bismarck, Mandan and Standing Rock area. NP has been using unarmed civilian protection in war-torn countries such as South Sudan and Myanmar, and this is the first protection project in the U.S. As local NP founder Mel Duncan says 'While I believe all of our work has a significant spiritual dynamic, this one, especially feels deeply grounded. This struggle is deeply rooted in the land, the water and how we live together and share those resources.'

Speakers: Experienced NP peacekeepers Martha Hernandez and Thiago Wolfer (served in South Sudan, Sri Lanka and Guatemala). Introduction by Marna Anderson, NP Director of Development and Communications.
