Christian Liebich I 2010 I Documentary I 100 min
Sponsored by Kamali M. WIlliams

Get fascinated by this journey into Afro-Cuban culture, full of dance and music. This documentary unwinds the complexity of many traditional and cultural movements in Cuba and brings a deeply rooted approach to the life of the descendants of historically deported African slaves as expressed in the Cuban Rumba. It explores how the Afro-Cuban religions imported from Africa, the Abakua, Congo and Yoruba, influenced present-day music and dance in Cuba and throughout the world.

Attendees will need to purchase tickets: General admission, $8; seniors, students and MSP Film Society members, $6. General admission tickets are available online

Networking Opportunity
Join the MINN group afterwards at Tuggs Tavern. Can't make it to the movie but still want to network? That's fine - see you there!
