Talk and Tour with OneVillage Partners
Join MINN for a Talk and Tour of OneVillage Partners to get an in-depth look at the organization in a small group setting. The agenda includes an overview of the organization by Jill LaLonde, Executive Director, and Dana Altendorf, Director of Development and Communications, with time for questions and answers.
OneVillage Partners is a young and growing organization yet its roots began in 1987. Today, they work in Sierra Leone partnering with villagers to build and develop their communities. They use a process for community action that helps villagers come together to identify, plan, and act to meet their own basic needs, all while learning the skills and practices necessary to continue long into the future. Basic needs that villagers choose to address usually involve improved health, better sanitation, increased income, more productive agriculture, increased education, more accountable and reinvigorated leadership, empowerment for women or youth, or some combination of these. Come meet Jill and Dana to learn more! RSVP here.
*The MINN Talk and Tour (T&T) is an opportunity for MINN members to gain first-hand knowledge of the workings of international NGOs in the state. The T&T agenda is simple. Employees of an international NGO offer a private tour of their facility and then field questions about their organization’s work and their office culture. While MINN T&Ts are free and open to MINN Members, space is limited, and registration is required. Please consider joining the hundreds of international professionals who already have a MINN membership. Click here to join. If you have questions regarding your membership write us at [email protected].
If this event is filled please sign up for the waitlist as we often ask waitlisted people to attend closer to the event.
