Join MINN for a Talk and Tour of Global Health Ministries to get an in-depth look at the organization in a small group setting. The agenda includes an overview of the organization by Doug Cox, Executive Director of Global Health Ministries. , and a private tour of their office.
Global Health Ministries (GHM) is a US-based, private, nonprofit that believes all people should have access to a healthy life, but they don't. Their mission is to do something about that by partnering with Lutheran efforts in health care among some of the most vulnerable people on earth. With hundreds of volunteers GHM collects unused quality medical supplies and equipment from US healthcare systems and ships custom orders to our partners in any one of 13 countries. They also support grassroots efforts that promote health and sponsor leadership training at all levels of health care. Now in their 31st year, GHM has partnerships in Bangladesh, Cameroon, Central African Republic, El Salvador, Ethiopia, Liberia, Madagascar, Nicaragua, Nigeria, South Sudan, Tanzania, Zimbabwe, and India.

Last year almost 1,800 volunteers came to the GHM warehouse to share their service and make friends. Even in just one hour volunteers can make a valuable impact on the lives of vulnerable people around the globe. Groups in 36 states across the USA also create “Hands-on-Projects” and are vital to this ministry! Many opportunities for undergraduate and graduate students as well as seasoned executives in international consulting also exist as GHM networks to enhance the capacity partner healthcare systems at all levels.

Global Health Ministries welcomes volunteers of all backgrounds and all ages to help promote peace and justice through international service.

The MINN Talk and Tour (T&T) is an opportunity for MINN members to gain first-hand knowledge of the workings of international NGOs in the state. The T&T agenda is simple. Employees of an international NGO offer a private tour of their facility and then field questions about their organization’s work and their office culture. While MINN T&Ts are a minimal fee and open to MINN Members, space is limited, and registration is required. Please consider joining the hundreds of international professionals who already have a MINN membership. Click here to join. If you have questions regarding your membership write us at membership@minnesotangos.org.
