Make sure your organization's stories reach the right people. In this interactive session, learn to harness social media to reach new audiences, build partnerships and advocate for a cause. Discover what's not working in your current approach--and how to use social media content, strategy and measurement to achieve communications, fundraising and advocacy goals on a budget.

Preparation
Bring questions and a sense of what’s blocking you from fully taking advantage of social media’s power to connect and amplify your messages. You are welcome, but not required, to bring a laptop or mobile device to try techniques in real time.

Presenter
Ruth Hamberg supports mission-driven organizations through communications, event production and organizational development. With experience in strategic planning, appreciative inquiry and community engagement, she connects the details of implementation with the big-picture thinking required for lasting impact. She is a frequent presenter on social media, data literacy and identity-based leadership.

Ruth’s work builds on five years as the engagement specialist for Minnesota Compass at Wilder Research, where she led social media, built strategic cross-sector relationships, managed a portfolio of funders, and delivered research presentations to community leaders. She brings a global lens to communications, drawing on nonprofit and research experience in Ecuador, India and Spain.

Outside of work, Ruth leads or supports initiatives that unite people in shared vision and joy. She is a leader in the Minnesota Rising network and the Chair of the Communications Committee for Young Nonprofit Professionals Network of the Twin Cities, where she also serves on the board.
