Interested in working in international development? Development is a broad sector encompassing a huge range of organizations and roles. Whether you are a recent graduate or are considering a transition, successful applicants need to know what they want and what they can offer, be proactive, determined and flexible. In this workshop, Britta Hansen will provide an overview of the development sector, share highlights from the 2018 Devex hiring trends report, share tips on nailing a memorable pitch, and provide general keys to decipher those head-scratching job descriptions. Presenter Britta Hansen is currently a project manager at the Stakman-Borlaug Center for Sutstainable Plant Health within the University of Minnesota.
