On Monday, September 8, 2008, MINN and the Minnesota Council of Nonprofits (MCN) hosted If Microfinance is the Answer, What is the Question? International Experts Share Stories from the Field. This great educational event – the first-ever collaboration between MINN and MCN – attracted many new faces, as well as several familiar ones. The event featured three experts in the field of international microfinance who shared their experiences with 85 attendees at the Dorsey Ewald Conference Center in St. Paul.
Midwest International NGO Network (MINN) held another in a series of Roundtable Forum on August 11th at the Common Hope Conference Room in St. Paul. This was the latest Forum in a new series of Roundtables that MINN has begun in 2009. The idea behind the Roundtable Forum is to bring together International NGO practitioners in the Twin Cities to discuss relevant topics related to their day-to-day work.
The Humphrey Institute of Public Affairs at the University of Minnesota (U.S.) is now accepting proposals from organizations for its International Capstone Project for the academic year 2010-2011. We invite you to submit a proposal for a project in your organization that you would like to be completed by Humphrey graduate students, as part of their professional learning experience. We are looking for project proposals that pertain to international social, political, economic or environmental concerns.
