MINN PRESENTS: Monitoring and Evaluation 101

Wednesday, November 17th, 2010

This is a unique opportunity for NGO professionals, and those interested in international development work, to attend a presentation on the fundamental components of effective program evaluation.  The presentation explores the “Top 10 reasons you might use evaluation…” and how your organization may begin developing or improving your evaluation practices. Join us as we learn from a professional program evaluator through the use of best practices.

Join your colleagues from across the region to share and explore current evaluation practices and innovative approaches.  This program is a joint effort of the Minnesota Council on Foundations, The Minnesota Evaluation Association and the Midwest International NGO Network.

A roundtable forum was held on April 28, 2009 to have a conversation about best practices for communicating with international partners. Many great tips and tools were shared - and this is my attempt to document and share this information.

On Monday, September 8, 2008, MINN and the Minnesota Council of Nonprofits (MCN) hosted If Microfinance is the Answer, What is the Question? International Experts Share Stories from the Field. This great educational event – the first-ever collaboration between MINN and MCN – attracted many new faces, as well as several familiar ones. The event featured three experts in the field of international microfinance who shared their experiences with 85 attendees at the Dorsey Ewald Conference Center in St. Paul.

Midwest International NGO Network (MINN) held another in a series of Roundtable Forum on August 11th at the Common Hope Conference Room in St. Paul. This was the latest Forum in a new series of Roundtables that MINN has begun in 2009. The idea behind the Roundtable Forum is to bring together International NGO practitioners in the Twin Cities to discuss relevant topics related to their day-to-day work.
