The first international NGO to open its doors to MINN’s Talk and Tours is the Center for Victims of Torture (CVT). CVT is a St. Paul-based international organization providing direct care to survivors of torture and war trauma in the United States, Africa and the Middle East, and working toward a future where torture ceases to exist. In addition to the mental health and other healing care CVT extends to thousands of survivors and their families each year, they are a leader in international research, train and support the work of their colleague organizations around the world, and advocate for the voices of survivors through their public policy work locally and nationally.

This event provides an opportunity to get an in-depth look at the various CVT programs in a small group setting. The agenda includes an exclusive overview of CVT by Peter Dross, Director of External Relations, a private tour of the Healing Center, as well as a Q&A session with CVT staff. Space for the Talk and Tour is limited, with preference given to MINN members*. Click here to register today!

Networking To Follow: There will be a networking opportunity following the Talk and Tour at Sweeney's Saloon starting at 6:30 pm. The Sweeney's event is open to all who would like to learn more about CVT, or just network with the MINN community! *The MINN Talk and Tour (T&T) is a new offering for MINN members and others, who are looking to gain first-hand knowledge of the workings of international NGOs in the state. The T&T agenda is simple. Employees of an international NGO offer a private tour of their facility and then field questions about their organization’s work and their office culture. While MINN T&Ts are free and open to the public, space is limited, registration is required, and priority is given to current MINN members. Please consider joining the hundreds of international professionals who already have a MINN membership. Click here to join. If you have questions regarding your membership or your organization is interested in hositng a Talk & Tour write us at [email protected].
