Mission/Description: ACET provides culturally tailored evaluation services and solutions to meet the needs of your program, community, and stakeholders. Our team has extensive experience conducting high-quality evaluation with nonprofit organizations; foundations; schools, health-care facilities; business; and federal, state, tribal, county, and city agencies. ACET takes great pride in providing a wide range of evaluation services and solutions to local, regional, and national clients. ACET's collaborative, flexible, and transparent approach helps programs achieve outcomes to promote maximum potential for current and prospective generations. ACET will offer information about a free database system of many current funding opportunities in the areas of human services, health, and education. American University’s School of International Service

Mission/Description: American University’s School of International Service (SIS) is a top ten school of international affairs, founded with a mission of waging peace over 60 years ago. Fair Anita

Mission/Description: Fair Anita's mission is women investing in other women. Table will offer attendees fair trade jewelry, accessories and clothing designed in Minnesota and made by women in 9 countries.

St. Catherine University

Mission/Description: St. Catherine University offers undergraduate and graduate degrees in the field of Public Health. You can complete a certificate program to become a Community Health Worker, get a bachelor's degree in Public Health or work toward a master's degree in Public Health with a global focus. Courses are offered in the evenings, weekends, and online. Stop by the marketplace table to chat with a Public Health faculty representative. Table will offer attendees information about degree opportunities at St. Catherine University.

Bountifield International

Mission/Description: Bountifield International (formerly CTI | Compatible Technology International) is dedicated to creating sustainable postharvest solutions to end hunger and poverty in sub-Saharan Africa. Our Goal by 2025 is to have partnered with millions of African farmers and rural entrepreneurs, filling gaps in postharvest markets so that Africa can feed herself. The table will offer information on Bountifield International’s services for postharvest tools and training in sub-Saharan Africa.

Mary’s Pence

Mission/Description: Mary’s Pence invests in empowering women across the Americas by funding community initiatives and fostering collaborations to create social change. Table will offer attendees informational materials about our nonprofit, grants, and programs; free calendar, bookmarks, and notecards; raffle items including metal work and indigo crafts from El Salvador.

Books for Africa

Mission/Description: Books For Africa is the largest shipper of donated text and library books to the African continent, shipping over 45 million books, and serving all 55 countries on the African continent since 1988. Books For Africa’s goal is to end the book famine in Africa. During the MINN Marketplace, we'll offer materials about book shipments and volunteering opportunities.

Disability International


Mission/Description: We are Disability Support International (DSI), a MN-based NGO that began in 2016 to help address the immense needs of people with disabilities in places in our world where this is most needed. Our mission is to advocate, support and empower to improve the lives of persons with disabilities in developing countries so they can live life to the fullest. We do this by working closely with in-country partners to build disability capacity (through training and support programming) to promote sustainable progress toward more inclusive societies. Global Mamas

Mission/Description: Global Mamas is an international NGO dedicated to fostering financial well-being, happiness, and health for Ghanaian women and their families. For over 15 years we have partnered with a talented community of Ghanaian craftswomen helping them bring their handmade products to the international marketplace and build successful, sustainable livelihoods. Visit Global Mamas at the Marketplace to learn more about our international volunteer program in Ghana. We will also be selling hand batiked textile and recycled glass beaded products made by the Mamas in Ghana. All proceeds provide living wages and support our non-profit capacity building programs.

Mission/Description: ONE is a global movement campaigning to end extreme poverty and preventable disease by 2030, so that everyone, everywhere can lead a life of dignity and opportunity. We believe the fight against poverty isn’t about charity, but about justice and equality.Whether lobbying political leaders in world capitals or running cutting-edge grassroots campaigns, ONE pressures governments to do more to fight extreme poverty and preventable disease, particularly in Africa, and empowers citizens to hold their governments to account. Co-founded by Bono and other activists, ONE is strictly nonpartisan. ONE is not a grant-making organisation and does not solicit funding from the public or receive government funds. ONE is funded almost entirely by foundations, individual philanthropists and corporate partners. Our local Minneapolis team will be tabling to recruit participants who want to use their voice to help fight infectious disease, make sure mothers get proper nutrition and that all girls can go to school. At the time of the conference we will be working to have people write to their lawmakers in support of Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance. Children in extreme poverty around the world are alive today because of Gavi helping to prevent early death. Use your voice to change the world and join the local Twin Cities team!

KGSA Foundation

Mission/Description: The KGSA Foundation provides financial and technical assistance to the Kibera Girls Soccer Academy, a free high school for girls in Kibera, the largest slum in Kenya. Our table will offer information and brochures about the inspiring work of the Kibera Girls Soccer Academy. In 2017, a local Minneapolis author, Ellie Roscher, wrote a book about the school called Play Like a Girl. The book will be available for purchase and we will have free Play Like a Girl temporary tattoos.

OneVillage Partners

Mission/Description: OneVillage Partners is committed to atalyzing community led transformation in rural Africa. Our Marketplace table will feature a hand washing station and OneVillage Partners literature.

Resources Enriching African Lives (REAL)

Mission/Description: REAL supports the education of disadvantaged Ethiopian girls through mentorship and collaboration with their local communities We will have flyers and business cards on our Marketplace table.

Stillpoint Engage

Mission/Description: We engage multidimensional approaches, grounded in depth psychology, to alleviate human suffering in post-conflict and underserved communities. At Stillpoint Engage we work to alleviate human suffering through application of depth psychological principles. We do this first by engaging directly with underserved and post-conflict communities, promoting psychological and social support activities, whether inside or outside a formal mental-health context. Second, we facilitate increased psychosocial resiliency for humanitarian aid workers, thereby strengthening the impact of their field work in underserved, post-disaster, and post-conflict communities worldwide. Third, we provide opportunities for actionable insight into the manifold root causes of human suffering today, through quantitative and qualitative research, curated discussion and debate, and through innovative community and professional education. In all our initiatives, Stillpoint Engage creates opportunities for applying humanistic insight towards individual and community healing in an increasingly unstable world. We plan to showcase information about our organization, programs, events, career opportunities and an abbreviated Myers-Briggs test—find out your personality type on the spot!

Backpack EMR

Mission/Description: Binary Bridge partners with NGO's and medical teams to improve access to healthcare and improve the quality of care in low-resource countries with innovative solutions. With increased reporting required by Ministries of Health, improved transparency needed to attract donors, and a push for better continuity of care for patients, we saw the need for BackpackEMR - a rugged, portable patient-tracking system for remote locations. No electricity? No Internet? No Problem... BackpackEMR works completely offline, can support a full pop-up clinic by sharing data among a set of devices w/o the internet, and will backup the data to the cloud once you are connected. Rural Health Care Initiative

Mission/Description: Our mission is to partner with rural communities in Sierra Leone to redevelop healthcare systems to overcome one of the highest maternal and child mortality rates in the world.

St. Mary's University
